Google Business Profile API Use & Compliance
For Our Business Partners (Restaurants & Hotels): We help small to medium-sized restaurant and hotel businesses manage their Google Business Profile presence through our platform. Our use of Google Business Profile APIs strictly adheres to Google's policies:
- Partner-Only Authorization: We only access Google Business Profile locations owned by our verified Jenni partners (restaurants and hotels) who have explicitly authorized us as managers of their business listings.
- Analytics for Partner Businesses: We read reviews and performance data exclusively for our partner restaurants and hotels to generate weekly insights and analytics dashboards that help them understand their customer feedback and improve their services.
- Manual Review Management by Business Owners: Our partner business owners can manually craft and post review responses through our platform. We never automate review responses - every response is written and approved by the business owner themselves.
- Real-Time Updates for Partners: We notify our partner businesses of any changes to their Google Business Profile listings within 48 hours, ensuring they stay informed about their online presence.
- 30-Day Performance Caching: We cache Google Business Profile data for our partner businesses for a maximum of 30 days solely for performance optimization. No long-term storage or aggregation of business data occurs.
- No Lead Generation or Scanning: We do not scan for or generate leads. We only work with businesses that are already our established Jenni partners.
- Direct Partner Interface: We do not provide pass-through API access. Our partner business owners interact with their Google Business Profile data through our secure user interface with full human control.
- Limited API Scope: We use only the necessary endpoints: Account/Locations (read-only for partner businesses), Reviews (list and reply for partners only), Performance metrics (partner analytics), Place Actions (menu links for partner restaurants), Lodging (amenities for partner hotels), and Notifications.
For Consumers: Consumers using our app to discover restaurants and hotels see aggregated, public information. We do not access or modify Google Business Profile data on behalf of consumers.
